Environmental and sustainability profile

The a1qa Environmental Protection Policy was created in 2005, continues to be updated on a regular basis and was approved by a1qa CEO Mrs. Svetlana Pravdina for company-wide implementation.


All newcomers are briefed by their direct managers on the Environmental Policy in place with special attention paid to energy-saving and recycling guidelines.

The Environmental Policy does not directly apply to a1qa’s suppliers, including suppliers of equipment, stationary and food stuffs. However, a1qa selects suppliers carefully to ensure the supplied products do not aggravate the environmental situation during or after their use by a1qa.

The Environmental Policy also suggests conducting regular training for employees on how to support the company’s Green initiatives in their private lives.


a1qa supports recycling programs initiated by local authorities in cities where the company’s offices are located.

Office Management Service is responsible for separated garbage collection and plastic and paper recycling. Employees are also instructed and regularly reminded to minimize paper use. Additional posters are placed next to printing machines in the office, and eco-printing is the default setting company-wide.

IT Support Service is responsible for safe usage and recycling of batteries, cartridges, and other parts and indecomposable components.


By the corporate energy-saving rules and according to the Environmental Policy, employees are asked to shut down workstations overnight idle time. Workstations are closed automatically unless production needs require their use at night.

a1qa Office Management Service also ensures electricity consumption is optimized. The lighting devices at a1qa offices are equipped with energy-saving light-bulbs. Corridor lights switch off automatically, with the help of motion detectors, during the non-working hours, including evening and days off.

Air Pollution

a1qa has no pollution production or manufacturing that emits greenhouse gases and damages the ozone layer.

All offices are equipped with air conditioning systems which have in-built air cleaning filters to prevent any emission of dust or other inappropriate substances into the atmosphere. a1qa’s offices are inspected regularly by local sanitary and epidemiological stations, as well as other supervising authorities, to control airborne emissions.

a1qa encourages its workers to reduce their private car usage. For this purpose, bicycle parking has been built in the office backyards. We also provide shower rooms to make commuting to work by bicycle more convenient.

a1qa is a member of UN Global Compact, a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
